Flagger-Controlled Travel at Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Bridge Scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 14

Flagger-controlled alternating single-lane travel restrictions are scheduled to be in effect at the Uhlerstown Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 14.

The travel restriction is needed for completing remaining elements of a year-long rehabilitation project at the 94-year-old truss bridge.

Brief travel delays are possible when alternating single-lane restrictions are in effect.

Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and follow flagger instructions when approaching or crossing the bridge.

The scheduled travel restrictiosn are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, or other factors.

Single Travel Lanes, Width Restrictions in Effect at New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202) Toll Bridge until Further Notice

The New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202) Toll Bridge is restricted to single travel lanes in each directions with a 10-foot width restriction in the southbound (Pennsylvania-bound) direction and an 11-foot width restrictions in the northbound (New Jersey-bound) direction.

The travel restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.

A Commission contractor is in the process of removing the former cash-collection toll plaza at the bridge. The Contractor will then erect an open-road cashless all-electronic tolling gantry in approximately the same location. The project also will involve repairs and improvements to the bridge’s Pennsylvania abutment.

Route 202 motorists approaching the bridge are urged to reduce speeds, prepare for lane shifts, observe size restrictions, and exercise caution.
