The Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge's New Jersey approach roadway is scheduled to be restricted to single lane of alternating traffic controlled by flaggers from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5.

The travel restriction will allow an Elizabethtown Gas Co. crew to conduct gas line work in the area of the bridge's New Jersey approach.

Motorists could encounter traffic stoppages and brief travel delays.

The New Hope-Lambertville Toll-Supported Bridge is scheduled to be restricted to a single-travel lane controlled by flaggers 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, May 4, and Tuesday, May 5.

The Northampton Street Toll-Supported Bridge (a.k.a. the Easton-Phillipsburg "free bridge") is scheduled to be restricted to single vehicular lanes in each direction (two of three lanes open) 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, May 4-8.

Vehicles will be required to shift into parallel opposing lanes of traffic on the bridge.

The daytime travel restriction will enable Commission engineering consultants to conduct ultra-sonic testing on the 130-year-old's steel cantilever-truss superstructure's pin connections.

Travel delays are not anticipated.

The Delaware Water Gap (I-80) Toll Bridge is scheduled to be restricted to single travel lanes in each direction 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5.

Commission maintenance personnel will be making lighting repairs on the bridge during the lane closures period.

The start date for 96-hour-long weekday closures of the Scudder Falls (I-295) Toll Bridge’s 0.86-mile-long Shared-Use Path for pedestrians and bicyclists sicheduled be closed for 96-hour-long periods on a weekly basis until the Memorial Day Weekend.

Closures of the bridge's walkway will begin early on Mondays and continue until early Friday mornings. The walkway is expected to be reopened for use on weekends.

The weekly closures will enable a Commission contractor to remove and replace the uneven puddle-prone polyester polymer concrete (PPC) surface along the bridge’s elevated walkway surface.

The bridge walkway facility’s entry points will be blocked at the Delaware & Raritan Canal’s rail trail on the New Jersey side and the Delaware Canal towpath on the Pennsylvania side.

Affected bicyclists and pedestrians are urged to use the Calhoun Street Bridge walkway to the south or the Washington Crossing Bridge walkway whenever the Scudder Falls facility is closed. Bikes must be walked across the walkways at those two alternate crossings.

The New Hope-Lambertville (Route 202) Toll Bridge is restricted to single travel lanes in each directions with a 10-foot width restriction in the southbound (Pennsylvania-bound) direction and an 11-foot width restrictions in the northbound (New Jersey-bound) direction.

The travel restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.

A Commission contractor is in the process of removing the former cash-collection toll plaza at the bridge. The Contractor will then erect an open-road cashless all-electronic tolling gantry in approximately the same location. The project also will involve repairs and improvements to the bridge’s Pennsylvania abutment.

Route 202 motorists approaching the bridge are urged to reduce speeds, prepare for lane shifts, observe size restrictions, and exercise caution.
