NOISE WARNING – Paving of the new I-295 EB travel lanes on the Pennsylvania side of the Scudder Falls Toll Bridge is underway.  Weather permitting, nighttime paving is expected to end Sept. 9.  Noise associated with this work includes back-up beepers on delivery trucks, compaction equipment and vibrating roller vehicles.  Cofferdam and temporary in-river work platform construction in the vicinity of Park Island requires vibratory hammering and pile driving; this noise is necessary to maintain the project schedule while complying with environmental-impact restrictions.
