Pohatcong, NJ – A new set of travel restrictions will commence next week for the I-78 Bridges and Approach Slabs Rehabilitation Project along the highway near the Pennsylvania-New Jersey border.

The full schedule of project-related lane closures is as follows:

I-78 Westbound – Immediately following Exit 3 in Pohatcong, N.J. (Phillipsburg/Routes 22 & 173 Interchange)

  • One-lane travel pattern (two of three lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day) Wednesday, Oct. 3.
  • Two-lane travel pattern (one of three lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day) Thursday, Oct. 4 AND Friday, Oct. 5.

I-78 Eastbound – Approaching CR-519 Underpass in Pohatcong, N.J.

  • Two-lane travel pattern (one of three lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (next day) Tuesday, Oct. 2
  • One-lane travel pattern (two of three lanes closed) OVERNIGHT 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (next day) Wednesday, Oct. 3

NJ CR-519 Springtown Road – Underpass of I-78 in Pohatcong, N.J.

  • Alternating single-lane travel with traffic controlled by flaggers 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Oct 1 to Friday, Oct 5.

Cedarville Road – Overpass across I-78 in Williams Township, PA.

  • Alternating single-lane travel with traffic controlled by flaggers 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct 1 to Friday, Oct 5.

Morgan Hill Road Bridge – Overpass across I-78 in Williams Township, PA.

  • Intermittent single-lane closures with travel maintained in each direction at all times 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 to Friday, Oct. 5.
