FRENCHTOWN, NJ – Motorists might encounter brief traffic stoppages and travel delays during weekday off-peak periods at the Uhlerstown-Frenchtown Toll-Supported Bridge starting next week and continuing into April, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today.

The traffic restrictions will enable a Commission contractor to complete remaining tasks associated with a recent rehabilitation project and then remove the temporary work platform beneath the bridge’s roadway deck. All project work is expected to be completed before the end of April.

The flagger-control travel restrictions would be as-needed and intermittent between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, beginning Monday, March 9.

Motor-vehicle travel impacts are expected to be minor. Bridge motorists are urged to reduce speeds, follow flagger instructions, and exercise caution when travel restrictions are in effect.

Inclement weather, emergencies, and other factors can affect this schedule.
