Until further notice, Commission meetings will be held in the Training Room of the Commission’s Administration Building, 1199 Woodside Road, Yardley, PA. 19067.  For individuals unable to attend meetings in-person, remote/virtual access is available via the Microsoft Teams online meeting platform and teleconferencing.  Additional information is below.

The public may comment only during the portions of the meeting designated for public comment. Effective with the April 29, 2024 meeting, each speaker is allowed one three-minute timeframe to provide comment.  There will be no repeat speakers and no yielding time to another speaker.

Teleconferencing – April 29, 2024 Meeting

The public may access the meeting by dialing +1 267-857-3794.  The Access Code (9-character Microsoft Teams Conference ID) for the April 29, 2024 meeting is 594 146 141#.

Teleconferencing Instructions

  1. Dial the access number of the meeting. Once the call is connected, you will hear the following prompt:
    “Welcome to the Audio Conferencing Center. Please enter a conference ID followed by pound.”
  2. At this point, enter in the 9-digit Microsoft Teams Conference ID followed by the number sign/pound sign (#) on your phone’s keypad.
  3. Once you enter in the conference ID and hit #, you will hear the following prompt:
    “If you are the meeting organizer, hit star now.”
  4. DO NOT hit the star (*) key; just wait a few seconds and you will hear the following prompt:
    “You are now entering the meeting.”
  5. You will hear music on hold before the meeting starts. The organizer of the meeting will need to admit you to the meeting before you can participate.

Note: Public attendees should mute their phones when not speaking; this will maximize the quality of the call for all participants.

Remote Access via camera-and-microphone-equipped smart phone, tablet or computer

To attend the meeting in this fashion, you will first need to equip your device with Microsoft Teams. Do this in advance of the meeting. Please see instructions for downloading Microsoft Teams farther down on this webpage. Upon setting up your computer for Teams access, click on the button below.

Instructions for Downloading Microsoft Teams®

Microsoft Teams is a unified communications and collaboration platform that combines persistent workplace chat, video meetings, file storage and collaboration, and application integration. The service is highly integrated with Office 365 and is the evolution and upgrade path from Microsoft Skype for Business.

Apple (iOS) Devices

Open the Apple App Store on the iOS device, iPhone, or iPad
Then click search and type in Microsoft Teams
Once Microsoft Teams is found, click on “Get”
You will be brought to a second screen where you will need to click “Get” again
You will either need to provide your touch-id or your Apple App Store password
Once the password or touch-id has been presented, the App will begin to install
Once installed, the Microsoft Teams app icon will look like this:
Click this icon and move on to the Using Teams section.

Android Devices

Open the Google Play Store on the iOS device, iPhone, or iPad
Then click search and type in Microsoft Teams
Once Microsoft Teams is found, click on “Install”
You will be brought to a second screen where you will need to click “Install” again:
The App will begin to download and install (you may need to put in your Google Play Store username and password to continue)
Once installed, the Microsoft Teams app icon will look like this
Click this icon and move on to the Using Teams section.

Windows Desktops and Laptops

Open a web browser and go to: https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads
Click on Download for desktop button, it will bring you down to this section.

Click on the Download Teams button.

From here it depends on your browser:

Microsoft Internet Explorer/Edge

Once you click on the Download Teams button, the browser will download Teams and present the following display.

Click the Run button to begin the installation.

Google Chrome

Once you click on the Download Teams button, the browser will download Teams and present the following display.

In the bottom left corner, a button will appear and Microsoft Teams will begin to transfer. Click this button to begin the installation of Microsoft Teams. You can click this button anytime during or after the transfer. The installation will begin automatically after the transfer if you click it before it completes.

The installation will occur automatically and place a shortcut on the desktop.
The installation will also automatically open the application.

Move on to the Using Teams section to continue.

Mac Desktops and Laptops

Open Safari web browser and go to: https://teams.microsoft.com/downloads
Click on Download for desktop button, it will bring you down to this section.

Click on the Download Teams button.

The application will begin to download in Safari, click Show Downloads button to find it.

Clicking Show Downloads opens this pop-up window.

Once the download is complete, click the filename in the Downloads window to start the installation.
Click Continue on the first two installation screens:
Click Install on the next screen.
You will need to put in the username and password for your Mac system even if you have admin rights.Put in your username and password and click Install Software.
Installation will begin.

Click Close to complete the installation once the installer has successfully installed Teams.

Once you Close the installer you will be asked if you want to delete the installer.

Click Move to Trash to delete the installer.

 

Microsoft Teams will now be available in the Applications list which can be access by either:
Clicking Go and then Applications on the Taskbar:
Find Microsoft Teams in the Applications folder.

Double-Click the Microsoft Teams app icon to start the application or, optionally, drag it to your Dock for quick access.

Move on to the Using Teams section to continue.

Using Microsoft Teams®

Open the Microsoft Teams app
If you are an employee of The Commission or you already have a Microsoft Online, Office365, Microsoft365, Hotmail, OneDrive, Outlook, or Azure account at Microsoft, then you just click Sign In and sign-in using your account. If you do not have one, click Sign up for free.

Complete the Sign In or Sign Up and move on to the next step.

On Apple iOS devices, the first time you sign in, you may be asked to receive notifications and allow permission for use of the microphone. Click OK to allow both.

Due to the ever changing operating system versions on both Android and Apple devices, the allowing of permissions may be slightly different than presented in this documentation.

At this point, you should be ready to attend or participate in Microsoft Teams meetings.
