A series of off-peak daytime lane closures are scheduled in the vicinity of the Trenton-Morrisville (Route 1) Toll Bridge from Tuesday, July 8, to Friday, July 11.

The lane closures will enable engineers to conduct inspections on and near the bridge.

The travel restrictions are as follows:

  • Tuesday, July 8, 9 a.m. to noon — Route 1 south restricted to single travel lane (one of two lanes open) between NJ mileposts 0.8 and 0.2 in Trenton;
  • Tuesday, July 8, noon to 2 p.m. — Route 1 south restricted to single lane (one of two lanes open) from the toll plaza to the South Pennsylvania Avenue exit ramp in Morrisville, PA.;
  • Wednesday, July 9, 9 a.m. to noon — Route 1 north restricted to single lane (one of two through lanes open) from South Pennsylvania Avenue entrance ramp in Pennsylvania across the bridge to on ramp from New Warren Street/Bridge Street in Trenton;
  • Wednesday, July 9, noon to 3 p.m. – Route 1 south restricted to single lane (one of two through lanes open) from NJ milepost 0.8 across the bridge to the South Pennsylvania Avenue exit ramp in Morrisville, PA.;
  • Thursday, July 10, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Route 1 north restricted to single lane (one of two through lanes open) from end of South Pennsylvania Avenue entry ramp to Route 1 north across bridge to NJ milepost 0.8;
  • Friday, July 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Route 1 north restricted to single lane (one of two through lanes open) from end of South Pennsylvania Avenue entry ramp to Route 1 north across bridge to NJ milepost 0.8.

The scheduled lane closures are subject to change due to weather, emergencies and other factors.  Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution when travel through cordoned areas where inspections are taking place.
