The highway-speed open-road tolling (ORT) Express E-ZPass grantry on the Pennsylvania side of the I-78 Toll Bridge is scheduled to be shut down for emergency equipment repairs 7:15 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Friday, May 8.
I-78 westbound motorists should keep right after crossing the toll bridge into Pennsylvania and use the former cash-collection toll booth lanes adjacent to the ORT/Express E-ZPass facility.
The former cash-collection lanes are equipped to handle both E-ZPass and TOLL BY PLATE license-plate-billing transactions. Cash collections ended over a year ago.
Travel delays are not expected.
The scheduled ORT facility shutdown is subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors.
