A series of lane closures are scheduled to be implemented at or near the I-78 Toll Bridge Monday to Thursday, March 30-Apr. 2.
The schedule is as follows:
- Monday, March 30, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — I-78 Toll Bridge eastbound (NJ-bound) reduced to two lanes (one of three lanes closed);
- Tuesday, March 31, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — I-78 Toll Bridge eastbound (NJ-bound) reduced to two lanes (one of three lanes closed);
- Wednesday, Apr. 1, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — I-78 Toll Bridge westbound (PA-bound) reduced to two lanes (one of three lanes closed);
- Thursday, Apr. 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — I-78 Toll Bridge eastbound (NJ-bound) reduced to two lanes (one of three lanes closed).
The scheduled travel restriction will enable Commission engineering consultants to make inspectionsa and evaluations relative to the design of a future cleaning, painting and repair project at the I-78 Toll Bridge and select approach bridges.
Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution when lane closures are in effect. Travel impacts — if any — should be minor.
