The Commission’s biennial bridge inspections process will shift to the Upper Black Eddy-Milford Toll-Supported Bridge during the week on Apr. 19.
Accordingly, flagger-controlled alternating single-lane travel is scheduled to be implemented at the bridge from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday to Wednesday, Apr. 20-22.
Motorists could encounter traffic stoppages and travel delays whenever the bridge is reduced to a single-lane with alternating traffic.
The Commission urges motorists to plan ahead and anticipate travel delays during off-peak daytime hours at the bridge.
Motorists are advised to reduce speeds, exercise caution, and follow flagger instructions.
The schedule is subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors.
The bridge gets inspected every two years in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards. The structure was last inspected in 2024.
