Personnel for the Commission’s general engineering consultant are expected to conduct inspections in the vicinity of the Easton-Phillipsburg (Route 22) Toll Bridge during the week of May 11.

On Monday, May 12; Tuesday, May 13; and Thursday, May 14, inspectios are scheduled for the Route 22 approach bridges over PA Route 611, Third Street. and Bank Street in Easton, and the Route 22 approach bridge over Broad Street in Phillipsburg.

The following highway travel restrictions are scheduled for inspections on the toll bridge itself:

  • Thursday, May 15, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. — Route 22 westbound on the toll bridge reduced to a single travel lane (one of two westbound lanes open);
  • Friday, May 16, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. — Route 22 eastbound on the toll bridge reduced to a single travel lane (one of two westbound lanes open).

Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution when traveling through coned-off areas for inspection activities. Travel delays are not anticipated.

All scheduled travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, and other factors.
