LOWER MAKEFIELD, PA – Fluctuating overnight ramp closures and detours are scheduled to be implemented next week at the I-295/Taylorsville Road interchange (Exit 10) on the Pennsylvania side of the Scudder Falls Toll Bridge.  (Revised times below in bold type.)

The new travel restrictions are expected to be implemented 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. (next day) on the nights of Monday, Sept. 27, through Friday, October 1.

The planned ramp closures are expected to be implemented individually, although there could be periodic overlapping when conditions warrant.  Which ramp or ramps get closed will vary from night to night, however, efforts will be made to sequence the ramp closures in a manner to avoid multiple ramp closures at the same time when possible.

Affected overnight motorists are advised to plan ahead and watch for detour warning signs in advance of the interchange.  This will especially be the case for I-295 EB motorists traveling from Philadelphia, Route 1 or I-95 in Pennsylvania; they will need to exit at the PA Route 332/Newtown-Yardley Road interchange (Exit 8) if the advance warning signs on the highway say that the off ramp at Exit 10 is closed.

Posted detour routes will be in effect when a respective Exit 10 ramp closure is in effect.  All detours will involve travel via the nearby I-295/PA Route 332 (Exit 8 for Yardley-Newtown Road).

The above-mentioned travel restrictions are subject to change due to weather, emergencies, traffic, and equipment/materials availability.

Note: Paving work is weather sensitive and could be postponed in the wake of steady rain.
