EWING, NJ – I-95 southbound will be reduced to a single lane in the vicinity of the Scudder Falls Bridge during overnight hours for three consecutive nights starting Tuesday, March 28, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today.

The single-lane travel restriction is needed for the clearing and hoisting of trees off a river island that will be affected by upcoming construction of the Scudder Falls Replacement Bridge.

When in effect, the scheduled single-lane travel pattern will begin near the Bear Tavern Road/Route 579 interchange (Exit 2) in Ewing, N.J. and continue to the southern end of the bridge in Lower Makefield, PA. The times and dates will be as follows:

  • 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 29;
  • 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 to 6 a.m. Thursday, March 30; and
  • 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30 to 6 a.m. Friday, March 31.

    The scheduled restricted travel periods are subject to change due to weather, emergency, and traffic considerations.
