TEMPORARY LANE CLOSURES ON I-78, PORTLAND-COLUMBIA TOLL BRIDGES  Bridges will have lane restrictions in off-peak hours

MORRISVILLE, PA - The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today that there will be temporary, single-lane, off-peak hour lane restrictions on the I-78 Toll Bridge and the Portland-Columbia Toll Bridge to accommodate survey work on the bridges.

Weather permitting, the single-lane restrictions will occur on the I-78 Toll Bridge in the westbound bound direction on Monday, January 28th between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm and in the eastbound direction on Tuesday, January 29th between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. The single-lane restrictions on the Portland-Columbia Toll Bridge in the eastbound direction are scheduled to occur, subject to weather conditions, on Wednesday, January 30th between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Motorists are asked to use caution as they travel through the active work zone.

The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission, formed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and state of New Jersey in 1934, operates seven toll and 11 vehicular and two pedestrian toll-supported (free) bridges along the Delaware River from Trenton-Morrisville to the New York border. These bridges carry more than 135 million cars and trucks each year.
