OFF-PEAK LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR DELAWARE WATER GAP (I-80) BRIDGE ON TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, AND THURSDAY
Contact: Joe Donnelly (215) 862-7693 or Pete Peterson (215) 893-4297DELAWARE WATER GAP, PA - The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission today announced that temporary off-peak lane closures are scheduled to take place on the Delaware Water Gap (I-80) Toll Bridge on Tuesday, March 3, Wednesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 5.
The left-hand lane in both the eastbound and westbound directions will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 3. The right-hand lane in the eastbound direction will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 5.
The planned lane closures are subject to change due to weather, construction, emergency or traffic-related considerations. The lane closures are required to accommodate contractors that are performing work in the vicinity of the bridge.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speed and use caution as they travel through an active work zone.
About the Commission
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission was formed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey in 1934. It operates seven toll bridges and 13 toll-supported bridges, two of which are pedestrian-only spans. The Commission's jurisdiction extends along the Delaware River from the Philadelphia-Bucks County line north to the New Jersey/New York border. The bridges carried more than 141 million cars and trucks in 2007.
