LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED ON AND BELOW SCUDDER FALLS BRIDGE WEDNESDAY INTO SATURDAY
MORRISVILLE, PA - The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission today announced that traffic restrictions are scheduled to be in effect on PA Route 32 and I-95 in the vicinity of the Scudder Falls (I-95) Bridge Wednesday into Saturday.
Motorists using Route 32 in Lower Makefield Township, Pa. will encounter alternating lane closures on the two-lane roadway beneath the Scudder Falls Bridge between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5; Thursday, Nov. 6; and Friday, Nov. 7.
Additionally, the right lane of I-95 southbound on the bridge will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 until 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8.
The lane closures are required to accommodate contractors and maintenance crews that are performing work in the vicinity of the bridge. The planned lane closures are subject to change due to weather or other unanticipated construction, emergency or traffic-related considerations.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speed and use caution as they travel through an active work zone.
The bridge carries I-95 across the Delaware River, linking Lower Makefield Township, Pa. with Ewing Township, N.J. The bridge was the Commission's most heavily used span in 2007, handling an average 58,400 cars and trucks a day.
