OVERNIGHT SOUTHBOUND LANE CLOSURES ON I-95 BRIDGE SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY
Contact: Joe Donnelly or Pete PetersonMORRISVILLE, PA - The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission today announced that off-peak traffic restrictions are scheduled to be in effect in the southbound direction on the Scudder Falls (I-95) Bridge during overnight hours on Thursday and Friday.
The right-hand southbound lane on the bridge will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday and from 7 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday.
The lane closures are required to accommodate contractors and maintenance crews that are performing work in the vicinity of the bridge. The planned lane closures are subject to change due to weather or other unanticipated construction, emergency or traffic-related considerations.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speed and use caution as they travel through an active work zone.
The bridge carries I-95 across the Delaware River, linking Lower Makefield Township, Pa. with Ewing Township, N.J. The bridge was the Commission's most heavily used span in 2007, handling an average 58,400 cars and trucks a day.
