NORTHBOUND LANE CLOSURE ON I-95/SCUDDER FALLS BRIDGE SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY
Contact: Joe Donnelly or Pete PetersonMORRISVILLE, PA. - The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission today announced that the northbound right-hand lane on the Scudder Falls (I-95) Bridge is scheduled to be closed from 7 p.m. Friday to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The lane closure is required to accommodate maintenance crews that will be repairing potholes and cleaning the bridge's expansion joints. The planned lane closure is subject to change due to weather or other unanticipated construction, emergency or traffic-related considerations.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speed and use caution as they travel through an active work zone.
The bridge crosses the Delaware River, linking Lower Makefield Township, Pa. with Ewing Township, N.J.
About the Commission
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission was formed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey in 1934. It operates seven toll bridges and 13 toll-supported bridges, two of which are pedestrian-only spans. The Commission's jurisdiction extends along the Delaware River from the Philadelphia-Bucks County line north to the New Jersey/New York border. Its bridges carried more than 141 million cars and trucks in 2007.
