I-80 TOLL BRIDGE LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY Bridge to have temporary daytime, non-rush-hour lane restrictions
DELAWARE WATER GAP, PA - The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission today announced that motorists may encounter delays on the Delaware Water Gap (I-80) Toll Bridge during off-peak daytime hours on Monday, August 11.One lane in each direction will be closed down from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. In the westbound direction, it will be the left lane; in the eastbound direction, it will be the right lane.
The temporary lane restrictions are being imposed to accommodate contractors working on the bridge.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speed and use caution as they travel through an active work zone.
About the Commission
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission was formed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey in 1934. It operates seven toll bridges and 13 toll-supported bridges, two of which are pedestrian-only spans. The Commission's jurisdiction extends along the Delaware River from the Philadelphia-Bucks County line north to the New Jersey/New York border. Its bridges carried more than 141 million cars and trucks in 2007.
