MORRISVILLE, PA - Traffic on Route 1 in the vicinity of the Trenton-Morrisville (Route 1) Toll Bridge will be stopped several times for up to 15 minutes for construction activities late Wednesday and early Thursday (Aug. 6-7), the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today.

The traffic stoppages are scheduled to take place between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel through the work zone during this operation.

During the stoppages, construction crews will erect sections of a new overhead sign structure just south of the toll plaza on the Pennsylvania side of the bridge. The completed structure will span the northbound and southbound lanes of Route 1.

The sign construction is part of the $100-million-plus rehabilitation and widening project currently underway at the Delaware River toll bridge, which links Trenton, N.J. and Morrisville, Pa.

More information about the Trenton-Morrisville (Route 1) Toll Bridge rehabilitation project is available at www.tmtollbridgerehab.com.
