EASTBOUND I-80 TOLL BRIDGE LANE CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR MONDAY & TUESDAY Bridge to have temporary daytime, non-rush-hour lane restrictions
DELAWARE WATER GAP, PA - The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission today announced that eastbound motorists may encounter delays on the Delaware Water Gap (I-80) Toll Bridge during off-peak daytime hours on Monday, August 4 and Tuesday, August 5.On each of those days, the right lane of traffic in the eastbound direction will be closed at 9 a.m. - weather permitting. The lane is to be fully reopened to traffic by 3 p.m.
The temporary lane restriction is being imposed to accommodate contractors working on the bridge.
Motorists are asked to reduce their speed and use caution as they travel through an active work zone.
About the Commission
The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission was formed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey in 1934. It operates seven toll bridges and 13 toll-supported bridges, two of which are pedestrian-only spans. The Commission's jurisdiction extends along the Delaware River from the Philadelphia-Bucks County line north to the New Jersey/New York border. Its bridges carried more than 141 million cars and trucks in 2007.
