EASTON, PA - The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission today announced that temporary off-peak lane closures are scheduled to take place on the Northampton Street Toll-Supported (Free) Bridge on Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, Thursday, July 31.

The lane restrictions are being imposed to accommodate contractors working on the bridge.

Weather permitting, the single-lane restrictions will occur in the right lane in the eastbound direction on Wednesday, July 30th and in the right lane in the westbound direction on Thursday, July 31. Lane closures will commence each day at 9 a.m. with the bridge fully reopened to traffic by 3 p.m. each day.

Motorists are asked to reduce their speed and use caution as they travel through an active work zone.

The Northampton Street Bridge - often referred to locally as the "free bridge" - connects Easton's downtown commercial district with Union Square in Phillipsburg.
