*Truck rates apply to trucks, buses, and other non-passenger vehicles.
(Truck axle rate explanation: The DRJTBC's base per-axle rate for non-pickup two-axle trucks is $3.25, resulting in a $6.50 toll for this vehicle category. The base per-axle rate for trucks with three or more axles is $4. The base toll for a five-axle tractor-trailer (eighteen wheeler), for example, is $20.)
(Trailers: Automobiles with trailers in tow are $2. This rate applies for Class 11, 12, and 13 auto/trailer classifications. Class 2 trucks -- two axles -- with trailers are charged at $4 per axle ($3.60 per axle off-peak with E-ZPass). So a two-axle truck with a one-axle trailer would be the equivalent of a three-axle truck: a $12 toll, or $10.80 E-ZPass off-peak.)
Discounts: The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission continues to offer discounts to frequent commuters who use E-ZPass, and to trucks and buses that travel during off-peak periods using E-ZPass.
Off-peak discount for commercial vehicles (trucks and buses) with E-ZPass
All Class 2 thru Class 7 vehicles (vehicles with commercial license plates) that are equipped with E-ZPass transponders (issued by DRJTBC or another E-ZPass Group-member agency) qualify for automatic discounts of up to 10 percent during off-peak periods.
Off-Peak Hours = 9:01 p.m. to 5:59 a.m. -- 10 percent discount
Commuter discount for non-commercial-class vehicles with E-ZPass
An automatic 40 percent discount - 60 cents instead of the base $1 toll - is extended to DRJTBC E-ZPass tag holders who make 20 trips through a Commission toll plaza during a 35-day period. The discount also is extended to all personal E-ZPass tags issued by any of the 24 toll agencies in the E-ZPass Group, but the tag holder must register his/her transponder as a companion account with the DRJTBC. The E-ZPass Group includes the DRJTBC, the New Jersey Turnpike, Pennsylvania Turnpike and other E-ZPass issuing agencies in the Northeast. The commuter discount applies to automobiles, pickup trucks, vans, SUVs, and motorcycles. These are Class 1, Class 11 and Class 12 vehicles. To register a companion account, motorists should call 1-800-363-0049.
