The following travel-lane restrictions are scheduled to be in effect along portions of the Commission’s 4.2-mile-long I-78 highway juridiction in New Jersey between Wednesday, Sept. 20, and Saturday, Sept. 23:
- I-78 Eastbound from the I-78 Toll Bridge at the Delaware River to the first New Jersey exit — Phillipsburg /Routes 22 and 173 interchange (Exit 3)
- Wednesday, Sept. 20 — 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. — right lane closure (one of three lanes closed) starting in the vicinity of the I-78 Toll Bridge for drainage repairs
- Thursday, Sept. 21 — 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. — right lane closure (one of three lanes closed) starting in the vicinity of the I-78 Toll Bridge for drainage repairs
- Thursday, Sept. 21 — 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. (next day) — travel restricted to a single lane (two of three lanes closed) for roadway asphalt joint rehabilitation work
- Friday, Sept. 22 — 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.(next day) — travel restricted to a single lane (one of three lanes closed) for roadway asphalt joint rehabilitation work
- I-78 Westbound from the Phillipsburg/Routes 22 and 173 interchange (Exit 3) to the I-78 Toll Bridge
- Thursday, Sept. 21 — 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day) — travel restricted to a single lane (two of three lanes closed) for roadway asphalt joint rehabilitation work
- Friday, Sept. 22 — 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. (next day) — travel restricted to a single lane (two of three lanes closed) for roadway asphalt joint rehabilitation work
Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution when traveling through active work zones.
Travel impacts — if any — should be minor.
